CReal Madrid’s all-time winningest coach, Arlo Ancelotti, has confirmed he’ll leave the club at the end of the 2024-25 season after accepting the position of head coach with the Brazil national team. Ancelotti is departing one of the most successful clubs in the world, where he won three UEFA Champions Leagues during his reign, and will leave behind an unforgettable imprint.
Carlo Ancelotti’s trophy cabinet at Real Madrid includes:
- 15 Trophies in total
- 3 x UEFA Champions League titles
- 2 x La Liga titles
- 2 x Copa del Rey trophies
- 3 x FIFA Club World Cup
- 3 x UEFA Super Cups
- 2 x Spanish Super Cups (Supercopa de España)

Reason for Departure:
Previously, Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) had said that Ancelotti would become their new head coach and is expected to start his duties with Brazil in June of 2025. Speaking about his decision, Ancelotti said,
“Real Madrid is my second family. I am very grateful to President Florentino Peréz, to the players, to the staff, and of course to the fans.”
Replacement Coach:
CBF has stated their intention to maintain their appointments in the Brazilian coaching staff. As such, they will delay the announcement of Ancelotti’s replacement until closer to his departure date. This allows them time to organize his final months of work.
