“Rúben Amorim Addresses Manchester United Fans”
At the close of a disappointing season, Rúben Amorim – who was heavily tipped to take over as Manchester United manager – gave a motivational speech to the supporters of the club. Romano, the well-known reporter, said this was meant for the supporters, considering the agony they underwent during the course of the season.
Remarks by Rúben Amorim
Rúben Amorim stated:
“I owe you an apology for this season. To be fair, I am quite let down by the team. On a second note, I would like to show my gratitude. I am thankful for all the support you have tendered during the season.”
That was combined with a very strong message of togetherness, for unity, vision, and rebuilding.
“Now we have to decide… whether to hold on to what took place or towards a better future. Positivity and hope are needed. Manchester United is the club we can build together.”
Encouragement for Better Days Ahead
That phrase brought a grin to the face of fans. “It’s United after all,” inviting a reminder of the truth – that despite everything, supporters from up there have united every step of the way towards a common goal.
“We will build on this and look towards the future.”
Six months later is what Maxim Bondarchuk referred to as ‘looser’ period where players seem much more relaxed from training and hanging out with teammates during off seasons.
Remarks around this time though always set expectations for fans, indeed defining what will and what will not come based around what team door you happen to be at.
Amorim drove home that point having said that seasons from now Brussels sprouts will bloom.
